Signage for Care

Your signage order, room by room

This is the order form care home managers already send us, as a page you can fill in on your phone. Tell us what each sign should say, in your own words, and how many of each. We read it, and we come back with a written quotation for every line.

  • This form is not priced, on purpose. We quote every line back to you in writing, with its price and with VAT shown separately, before anything is made. Nothing here is an order until you have accepted that quotation.
  • Your words, not our list. We suggest the rooms we already make, but you can type anything — Sluice, Nurses Office, Laundry, Staff Only, a wing name. We never change your wording for you; a person prices whatever is not on the list.
  • You do not have to finish in one go. What you type is kept in this browser on this device, so you can put it down and come back to it. Nothing reaches us until you press Send.

1. The home

If several of your homes are ordering, put the same name on every home's form. It is how we see eight forms as one group instead of eight separate enquiries.

This is where the quotation goes.

2. Bedrooms

It is the most-often-missed answer on this form, and the one that changes the order most.

Bedroom signs (DFBP)

The bedroom sign: a slide-in panel for the resident’s name and photo, changed by your staff. One per bedroom. All 8 finishes.

One per bedroom is usual. If you do not want bedroom signs, put 0 rather than leaving it blank.

3. The building

The building the signs are for, if that is not where you are.

A directional sign goes up two per junction, one pointing each way.

4. Finish and currency

Set once for the whole order. Every line on this form takes it unless you say that one line has to differ. Door decals are the one exception and carry their own, because they are not made in Oak, Walnut or White Pine.

If your group has set one finish for all its homes, say so here and it is written on the form we receive.

We quote in euro or pound sterling. We will not guess it from your postcode.

5. The signs

One line per wording. If you need two toilet door signs and one for the lounge, that is two lines. Type the wording exactly as the sign should read it — we suggest the rooms we already make, and we never change your words for you.

Door signsDFDS

228 x 228 mm, on the door of the room it names. All 8 finishes. One line per wording: if you need two toilet door signs and one for the lounge, that is two lines.

Directional signs with an arrowDFDWS1

105 x 500 mm, for the corridor wall where people have to choose which way to go. Two per junction, one pointing each way. Say which way each one points in the Arrow box. All 8 finishes.

Projecting signsDFPS

Sticks out from the wall so it reads from along the corridor. All 8 finishes.

Low profile signs — staff and service doorsDFLP

76 x 304 mm, for staff and service doors: sluice, laundry, medication, housekeeping, staff toilet. Type the wording exactly as the sign should read — there is no room list for this one. All 8 finishes.

Orientation signs — wings and bedroom rangesDFDOS1

105 x 500 mm, naming a run of bedrooms or a wing: “Bedrooms 1-11”, “Cedar Oaks”, “Beech Lodge”. Type the wording exactly as it should read. We make these to order and they are not on our website, so we confirm them with you before we quote.

Door decalsDFDD

Printed vinyl applied to the door itself. Coloured finishes only — it is not made in Oak, Walnut or White Pine, so each decal line carries its own finish.

Any other wording

If the wording you need was not in the suggestions — Lounge, Salon, Sluice, Office, Staff Room, Patio, Medication Room, Laundry, a wing name, a bedroom range, anything at all — put it here, choose which sign it goes on, and we will price it with you before we quote. This is a normal order and not an exception: we have made personalised wording for most of the buildings we have signed.

Signs on this form: 0 (a count, not a price)

6. One last thing

It is the only way we can tell which of the things we do actually reaches people.

We will not put a date on this page. Tell us yours and the person who writes your quotation will tell you honestly what is possible.

We accept purchase orders. If yours is raised after the quotation, send it when you have it.

We use this to write your quotation and to reply. We will not add you to a mailing list. Privacy policy.

A few things worth knowing

Arrows

The directional arrow arrives detached: you attach it to the sign once the sign is mounted on the wall. So the direction you give us does not change the sign we make — we record it on your quotation so your order reads the way your corridor runs. Count directional signs by decision point and by wording, not by direction.

Standard or braille & tactile

Every line starts as Standard, which is what almost every sign we have ever sold has been. We also make braille and tactile versions of the door sign, the directional sign and the low profile sign; they are priced separately on your quotation. No order form we have sent before has asked this question, so if you have ever needed braille and not got it, this is the line to use.

Finishes

We make eight: Oak, Walnut, White Pine, Carolina Blue, Garnet Red, Heather Purple, Sage Brown and Veridian Green. Set the finish once for the order and every line takes it; the form says on its face which finish it is and who chose it. If one line has to differ, you can say so, and that difference is written on the form and on the quotation rather than left to be noticed. The one exception is the door decal, which is made only in the five coloured finishes, so each decal line carries its own.

If you order for more than one home

Put your group or head office name on every home's form, and the same name on each one is how we see them as one group rather than as separate enquiries. Where your group has set one finish for all its homes, say so on the form: it is then written on the form we receive, and any line that is not in that finish is named on it and on the quotation we send back. For anything you want arranged centrally, say so in the notes and a person will come back to you on it.

Prices, VAT and delivery

The prices we quote you exclude VAT. VAT is added separately and is worked out against your delivery address, not ours. Delivery is quoted as its own line. A line with no price on our quotation is a line we have not agreed yet — it is never free of charge.

Purchase orders

We accept purchase orders. If you have a reference, put it on the form above; if yours is raised after our quotation, send it when you have it.

Would you rather talk it through?

Use the contact form, or email info@signageforcare.com. If you are responsible for more than one building, the group page is written for you. If you would rather see prices first, the whole-home builder prices a building line by line.
